Rexam claims a revolution in cosmetics packaging
revolutionise the cosmetics packaging sector with a new service
that allows packaging to be delivered in Europe within three days.
Beginning this month, the company says that it is the first in the industry to provide the service for pumps complete with glass perfume bottle samplers - the company's main areas of specialisation within the cosmetics field.
The service responds to the increasing need to get products to market fast. Increasingly the cosmetics sector is being driven by innovation, both on the ingredients front and the packaging front.
An increasingly fickle consumer means that a product that does not have the most up-to-date packaging or formulation, means that often it will quickly lose market share.
More specifically the new service offers support for product launches, where often the urgency of getting the product to market is at its most crucial.
This means "a new service standard for the set-up of perfume launch plans", said Stanislas Feminier, mini-product marketing manager at Rexam Dispensing Systems.
"Everyday we try to help our customers in setting up their launches, so we thought of developing a service that would make purchasing spray perfume samplers simple and quick, and so 'Just three days !' was born", Feminier added.
In order to meet the increased demands on the company's production capabilities that the service is expected to bring, Rexam has increased its production capacity and recently optimised its production site.
.The company says that the service will centre around its Sofilux spray sampler and its F31 pump. The two have been developed with ergonomics and spray efficiency in mind - a combination that is said to enhance the olfactory experience of the fragrance.
Likewise aesthetics are also enhanced by a design that means the pump is both totally neutral and invisible, a fact that the packaging does not detract from the fragrance
