According to Shannon Romanowski, beauty & personal care analyst, the limited edition beauty trend is set to continue in 2014, as inspiration shifts away from celebrity and towards more quirky beauty muses.
"Beauty brands can appeal to viewer of hit TV shows, encouraging fans to recreate the look of their favourite characters," she reveals.
Romanowski says that as technology further evolves and wearable gadgets become increasingly popular, there is opportunity for brands to launch ranges designed to accompany items such as health bands and smart glasses.
"Beauty brands can utilise websites and social media platforms to offer ‘get the look’ tutorials as a short term response to pop culture trends."
