Every year at the international beauty and personal care ingredients trade show, In-Cosmetics Global, an awards ceremony takes place to unveil some of the most innovative businesses and products, to celebrate excellence in cosmetic science.

This year, a panel of 40 judges from businesses such as Kenvue, Ecovia Intelligence, Unilever, Coty, and more selected the winners, which were unveiled at the event Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, Paris on 16th​ April.

Event director Roziani Zulkifli commented that the accolades “allow us to witness the innovators behind the products firsthand, and with our industry thriving, we're proud to acknowledge the remarkable achievements in each category.”

Adding that it was “gratifying to see how much people value the awards, and each one is so well deserved.”

The 2024 winners were…

Innovation Zone Best Ingredient Award (Active)

  • Gold​ ETERWELL™ YOUTH by dsm-firmenich

Innovation Zone Best Ingredient Award (Functional)

Green Ingredient Award

    An eco-friendly multifunctional from upcycled lignin.

Kenvue Trusted Science Award

  • Gold ​Hydrasensyl Glucan Green by BASF
    A bio-ferment with clinical results that demonstrate significant skin smoothing and hydrating benefits immediately and over time.
  • Silver ​TEGO® FILMSTAR One MB by Evonik Industries
    A 100% bio-based & biodegradable film former
  • Bronze​ Immunight by Lucas Meyer Cosmetics
    A green-processed, oil-soluble lavandin extract that helps boosts nighttime skin recovery.

Rising Star Awards

  • Kaffe Bueno
    A Danish startup that specialises in creating upcycling coffee by-products.
  • SKINOSIVE
    A science-driven dermo-cosmetics biotechnology company developing a technology platform in skin photoprotection.

Make-up Bar Award

  • Gold ​Trend Colors Autumn & Winter 2025/26 by ECKART GmbH
  • Silver​ Matte lipstick ceremony by Imerys Talc Europe
  • Bronze​ 冷製美 (REI-SEI-BI)- Cold Process Beauty by Nikko Chemicals

Sensory Bar Award

  • Gold​ Ethanol-free and natural perfume pearls by Microcaps AG

There was also a new Sustainable Stand Award, which rewarded those exhibitors that actively implemented eco-conscious measures when designing and building their stands. For this, the Gold award went to Ravetllat Aromatics S.L.
