French sampling company Livcer was showcasing its latest make-up sample packaging designed to enhance brand marketing and target nomadic consumers during this year’s Beyond Beauty event in Paris on 12-15 September 2010.

The Lips’Kit contains an eyeshadow, lipstick, blusher and foundation in an ultra-thin re-sealable case, which the company says that, despite its small size, holds enough product for several days use.

“The Lips’Kit sample case is made from PETG, which is more eco-friendly,” a spokesperson from Livcer told “The products are directly filled into the plastic case and no metal is used, which makes it a cheaper option for our customers.”

It allows consumers to try new products - between one and four different products can be inserted into the blister pack - and in addition to being used as a promotional item, is an ideal way of targeting consumers with nomadic lifestyles or those likely to regularly change which make-up products they use, according to the company.

“We created the Lips’Kit as we think people are looking for smaller products due to their nomadic lifestyle, for example, people are looking for something small and light to take away for the weekend,” the spokesperson explained.

Beauty Press to enhance brand marketing

Another sampling solution on display from Livcer was Beauty Press, which is designed to enhance the marketing of make-up brands. Beauty Press consists of a new dosage format for eye-shadow, lipstick, lip gloss or balms, with a cover that is easy to peel off, thus making the product easily accessible.

According to the company, a small transparent window on the sample allows the product colour to be instantly visible to consumers, meaning no surprises upon opening.

Beauty Press can be inserted into a variety of items including newspapers, magazines, mass mailings and promotional inserts.
