Mintel is again returning to participate at the FCE Cosmetique, which is taking place in Sao Paulo, Brazil, from May 21st to 23rd, at the Sao Paulo Expo.

This year the market intelligence provider will be focusing on fragrance at the event, which is a massive part of both the Brazilian, and the Latin American beauty and personal care industry.

In line with this, Mintel’s beauty and personal care analyst, Lauren Goodsitt will be giving a presentation tilted The Future of Fragrance on the final day of the three-day event, May 23rd, at 2:20pm to 2:55pm.

What’s in the presentation?

During the presentation Goodsitt will be sharing her extensive knowledge on the Latin American and global cosmetics industry, while also highlighting Mintel latest data on the category, including some of the most interesting trends and launches.

The presentation will focus on both two-year and five-year outlooks for the industry, projecting where the category will be heading and what type of fragrances consumers will be looking out for in this fast-evolving and highly profitable part of the beauty and personal care industry.

Touching on the key new elements driving the category, Goodsitt will touch on crucial areas such as sensorial and memory triggers and what kind of fragrance notes consumers will be seeing, as well as the growing importance of sustainable packaging.

Givaudan highlights LATAM fragrance trends

Last year Givaudan highlighted a number of fragrance concepts that were specifically targeted at the LATAM market that highlighted some very particular trends to the LATAM market.

Those concepts were all based around the principle themes: attraction, perfection, sensation and affirmation – values that are all core to what many beauty consumers aspire to.

According to the Givaudan Active Beauty development team, the themes represent four new product concepts, each dedicated to different areas of the body and each offering different efficacy, as well as sensorial qualities.

Those sensorial qualities are highlighted by the fact that more than 10% of the formulation for each concept consists of fragrances from the Givaudan portfolio.
