And that is why Philippines-based brand Human Nature is getting it right, by pledging to help some of the poorest people in the country.
Working with a poverty alleviation program, the company employs hundreds of the most underprivileged people in the country in a spectrum of roles ranging from accountancy to manufacturing.
Indeed, the panel of judges for the Cosmetics Design Beauty Industry Awards were so impressed with the story, that earlier this year they awarded company founder Anna Meloto-Wilk its Global Beauty Industry Woman of the Year Award.
