Nano nail polish product to be expanded in the European market
The company says its proprietary Halloysite Natural Tubes (HNT) formula, which was launched in the US in 2010, will be supplied to manufacturer Fiabila for inclusion in its nail polish products that are distributed throughout the European market.
Fiabila is present in both the European and US markets and is already responsible for marketing and distributing nail polish products containing HNT throughout the US.
Largest order for HNT to date
The order from Fiabila for the European market is said to be the largest to date and according to NaturalNano’s acting CEO and president, James Wemett, the product line is expected to be as popular in the Europe as it has already proved to be in the US.
“We are very gratified that after the positive results achieved for the nail polish products in the USA, Fiabila has decided it will introduce a similar range of nail polish products to their European customers,” said Wemett.
The nail polish line has proved to be a big success in the US thanks to the fact that it has been distributed in some of the nation’s most prominent retailers, including Wal-mart, CVE and Walgreen’s – while Fiabila is expected to pursue a similar strategy in Europe.
Fiabila revenues grow on back of nano nail polish
Fiabila CEO Pierre Miasnik said that the company had enjoyed very strong revenue growth in 2010, thanks to the addition of the HNT nail polish line and is expecting similar growth in 2011, with the addition of the new European lines.
“We, of course, invested in new equipment for mixing and tinting, the goal being to double the number of batches produced,” said Miasnik.
Nano formulation nail polishes are said to improve the application process due to the fact that the nano particles make the consistency of the polish less dense. This also allows for easier removal of the product.
