Improving cosmetics management The luxury goods firm has created an executive board position for the management of its cosmetics business.

Art & Fragrance said the move would help it develop its activities in cosmetics in a more focused and systematic manner.

The company has yet to make a long-term appointment for the role, which will be filled in the interim by Marc Roesti, who already works for the company and has served for a long time as a consultant on the conception and development of perfumes and cosmetics.

Art & Fragrance first entered the cosmetics market in January 2007 when it acquired the sun protection provider Ultrasun.

It has since made further steps into the beauty market.

Earlier this year it expanded its presence in the luxury perfume market by acquiring its rival Lalique for €44m. Other new staff changes at the company include the departure of the founder and former owner of Ultrasun, who remains affiliated with Art & Fragrance as a consultant.

In addition, Romina Di Santi has been appointed as the new head of marketing after the departure of Irene Muller.

Di Santi has worked for Art & Fragrance for seven years and is currently responsible for the marketing of Ultrasun and the Samourai brand.
