Beauty pill strengthens skin from inside out

With the trend for 'beauty from within' gaining momentum amongst
image conscious consumers, another cosmeceutical product has gained
recognition from French laboratories by successfully moisturising
and toning skin from the inside out.

A study undertaken by the Physcience Laboratoires Paris found that the SkinSublime beauty pill was effective in creating better-looking skin for over 93 per cent of female volunteers. Results showed that 73 per cent of the seventy-five women tested found that their skin also felt firmer after using the 'beauty pill', benefiting from the nutritious combination of ingredients in the capsule, including oils, vitamins and fruit extracts. The SkinSublime skin supplement has all major trend ingredients of late incorporated, capitalising on the booming natural and organic market that is at present heavily dominated by marine and fruit extracts. In order to moisturise the skin the capsule has harnessed the benefits of evening primrose oil, borage oil and raspberry oil, which are rich in Omega 3 variety polyunsaturated fatty acids. Olive extracts have also been used within the formula in a bid to entice the ageing-concerned consumer. The ingredient is said to improve elasticity in the skin. Likewise, the capsule contains pomegranate extracts that are said to neutralise free radicals, which can prevent up to 80 per cent of age related damage to the skin, through their high anti-oxidant content. By incorporating marine proteoglycans the skin capsule is said to boost collagen and help strengthen cell cohesion and improve skin density - creating firmer skin. The world's cosmeceuticals market is estimated at US $60bn, with a growth rate of 8 to 12 per cent. In terms of the geographical market for cosmeceuticals, Japan is by far the biggest market, valued at $6bn to $8bn dollars. The US is estimated at around $5bn to $6bn, and the EU $3bn to $5bn. There is also a notable difference between genders. For women, the prime target is those who are 50-years plus. But in men it is the 25 to 34 age group that is showing the most interest in products for outward appearance - "single men on the run to find the right date"​. The SkinSublim beauty product is available in Boots stores.
