Johnson & Johnson has sold five of its consumer and
over-the-counter personal care and medical brands to US personal
and healthcare player Chattem, in a move that expands the company's
existing portfolio in the US.
Fierce competition in the consumer goods sector has driven Unilver,
maker of some of the world's leading cosmetics and toiletry brands,
to cut back its earnings outlook for 2004 with a view to changing
it five-year sales targets.
