The fifth edition of Skincare Ingredients will go live on June 24th, in just two weeks, with a full conference program that tackles some of the most crucial issues in the skin care category.

Kicking off at 8am EST (New York) the event features a full-length conference program that includes seven webinar presentations on areas as diverse as texture, spreadability, antioxidants, regulations and essential oils.

These presentations will be given by top industry experts from leading cosmetic players such as Coty and Nu Skin, ingredients suppliers such as Merck and Mibelle, as well as the in-depth industry knowledge from professionals at Seers Consulting, Mintel and the Institute for In Vitro Sciences.

Conference program starts at 8am EST

The conference program will commence at 8am EST with a webinar titled 'Spreadability and Efficacy'. Given by Dr. Marc Pissavini, it will focus particularly on how formulators can rise to the challenge of combining both efficacy and spreadability in sunscreens and skin care formulations.

Next on the program is an 8:45am EST presentation titled ‘Offer Skin Outstanding Long-term Antioxidant Power’, which will be given by Marina Lefort, manager of technical service at Merck.

Mintel will be sharing its latest analysis on the skin care market with a presentation by David Tyrell, global skin care analyst, who will give the presentation: ‘Global Skincare Trends – Consumers, Ingredients, Textures at 9:30am EST.

Regulation, oxidation and essential oils

Next up will be a webinar focused on regulation, given by Alain Khaiat of Seers Consulting, with the title: ‘A Global Regulatory Overview of the Skin Care Market – What You Need To Know’ underlining the core focus of the webinar, which starts at 10:15am.

Switzerland-based Mibelle is known for its biotechnology-based innovations, and its presentation will be headed up by Fred Zűlli, the company’s managing director, who will be giving a presentation titled: ‘Activation of Nrf2 to Protect Skin Against Oxidative Stress’, to be broadcast at 11am EST.

Direct sales player Nu Skin will be next up in the program, with a presentation starting at 11:45am EST titled: ‘Essential Oils in Personal care - Benefits and Pitfalls’, given by the company’s Helen Knagg, VP of global R&D, and Brian Cook, senior associate – global R&D.

The big roundtable discussion!

The program will culminate in the Skincare Ingredients 2015 Roundtable Discussion at 12:30pm EST, which will include a number of the speakers from the conference program who will be discussing a spectrum of topics, including challenges, trends and ideas of what might be in store for the category in the future.
