New spray frosting is environmentally friendly, claims Alpha

The Eco-Frost Spray Frost can be used on both plastic and glass to create a frosted look and can be used on closures and custom parts as well as bottles and jars.

Alpha has labeled the innovation ‘green’ as ‘unlike conventional spray frosts, it contains no heavy metals, VOCs or solvents’​.

The frosting spray was developed in conjunction with Technigraph, a decorative specialist that the company acquired last year.

Joint technology ​

Although the company has released new products since the acquisition, this is the first that is a true joint technology platform, said marketing manager Marny Bielefeldt.

The product can be combined with the company’s six UV screen printing colors, as well as with multiple colors and fades.

In addition, special features such as textures, water droplets, iridescent colors and glow-in-the-dark inks can also be combined with the frosting effect.

The combined two companies claim to be the only single source manufacturer for plastic bottles and jars, full body spray frost and earth friendly UV decorating.

Alternatively, it invites clients to send their own plastic and glass to be decorated.
