Natural ingredients supplier Cremer Care offers organic glycerine to the European cosmetics market through a partnership with Colombian company Daabon organics.

The Germany-based company has become the exclusive distributor of Daabon’s organic raw materials to the European market.

Organic glycerine

Cremer Care’s deal with Daabon includes both organic glycerine, which the company highlights as being particularly important, and organic soap noodles (a raw material used in soap production).

According to Cremer Care, the Colombian company is currently the only worldwide producer who can promise a secure, reliable source of organic glycerine, making the arrival of the ingredient on the European market particularly significant.

Commenting on the choice of the South American supplier, Cremer Care’s business unit manager Patrick Knüppel said the Daabon philosophy complemented the company’s motto ‘Inspired by Nature’.

“We are glad to have found a producer for our customer’s needs who lives our motto and meets our customer’s demands for organic raw materials,” he said.

Round Table member

Like Cremer Care, Daabon is also a member of the Round Table on Sustainable Palm Oil.

Approximately 3000 hectares of palm oil have been planted in order to produce the organic glycerine and soap noodles.

Knuüppel cites the growing demand for organic raw materials in the industry as motivating the partnership, as well as highlighting the consumer’s growing desire to support socially responsible production.

Daabon’s president Alberto Davila Diaz-Granados says this is one of the company’s main values.

“We need trade not aid” he said. “That’s the only way to help and this is why we give a percentage of our annual turnover directly to our communities in Santa Marta.”
