According to new data by Unipro, the Italian body care sector has seen considerable growth in the past year alone.

Its latest figures reveal that the market, which includes softening creams, all purpose creams, body waters and oils, anti-ageing creams and depilatories, increased by 1.9 per cent in the past year, to total a very healthy €1.37bn.

The only category sub-sector that recorded a loss in the past year was anti-cellulite products, which dropped by 2.1 per cent to €124m, a considerable change on the previous year’s growth of 4.9 per cent.

However, the Italian beauty trade association also notes that sales in the perfumery channel have fallen by 4.5 per cent in the first six months of this year.
