The organisers of the first ever MakeUp Paris event, to be held in Paris next June, say they have already sold 80 per cent of the stand allocations for the event.

Scheduled to be held at L’Espace Pierre Cardin, in the 8th arrondisement between 24 – 25 June, 2010, organisers Beauteam say that the event has so far been equally well received by both finished goods makers and suppliers.

Sandra Maguerin, event director, said that the popularity event underlined the fact that this is a real and unique platform for the main players in this category to demonstrate their capabilities.

A show dedicated to the make-up category

“The success so far confirms the strength of this concept,” said Maguerin. “As a result we have received numerous positive feedback and encouragement from all sides.

“Those who are involved have realised that this is not a trade show in the classic sense of the term, but more of an event that will serve to help recognize the innovation as well as the research and development that are such vital aspects of this catgory.”

With the help of specialist cosmetic consultant Anne Camilli, the organizers have forged 12 themed areas for the show, each of which defines key trends within the industry, as well as demonstrating the diversity within the make-up category.

Demonstrations of new technologies and products

There will also be participation from the leading educational establishments in the field of make-up, all of which will be represented by make-up artists who will be demonstrating their skills at the event around the theme ‘Understand, Learn, Discover’.

This will see a succession of demonstration from make-up artists who will be demonstrating the capabilities of new technologies and products, many of which will be shown publicly for the first time at the show.

Key players that have already confirmed their participation or endorsed the show include Sothys Paris, Faber-Castell, Fiabila, Guerlain, Overpint, Rexam Personal Care, Strand Cosmetics and Puig.
