SymGuard® CD a modern cosmetic hygiene active

Due to consumer over exposure, environmental concerns and regulatory changes, conventional organohalogen systems, such as triclosan or triclocarban, are recently being removed from many cosmetic applications. Based on that fact, cosmetic manufacturers have increasingly been incorporating modern antibacterial ingredients into personal care products.

Anticipating this development, Symrise worked to offer a dedicated ingredient answering the specific requirements of hygiene as well as surfactant-based cosmetic products, and developed a modern, safe and more environmental friendly alternative: SymGuard® CD.
