Red berries have become a fashionable fragrance note for perfumers to work with, and this trend is forecast to grow this year.

According to Spate, raspberry was one of the fastest‑growing fragrance notes of 2025. The consumer trends company reported a +363.6% year‑over‑year increase in searches for raspberry perfumes.
According to Karla Woolley, Head of Buying at UK fragrance retailer The Perfume Shop, there is strong consumer demand for fruit‑led perfumes that can continually reinvent themselves. She highlighted that berry scents have enjoyed several successful years – with launches such as Tom Ford Lost Cherry, Burberry Her and Miu Miu Miutine – and that raspberry is now the emerging note to watch:
How fruity accords are evolving for 2026 and beyond
“Sweeter than redcurrant yet sharper and more characterful than strawberry,” she explains. “Recent launches such as Jimmy Choo I Want Choo with Love show growing interest in the note, alongside several upcoming launches set to spotlight raspberry.”
Woolley notes that consumers are looking for fruit notes that feel bold but refined. “Raspberry offers sweetness with personality, making it perfect for perfumes that feel expressive rather than overly sugary,” she shared.
One example is Room 1015’s Cherry Punk, where cherry is paired with leather, Sichuan pepper, black vanilla and tonka bean.
According to Christina Kamester, who is Head of Fragrances at INCOS perfume brand SO...?, fruity scents will continue to flourish in 2026, with cherry remaining a dominant note alongside raspberry, dragon fruit and strawberry.
Kamester said these are “now reimagined beyond their once-juvenile reputation.”
She also added that yellow and tropical fruits are rising in popularity – including peach, mango, passionfruit and even banana – and are increasingly being paired with deep notes like oud for contrast and complexity.
