- Marks a strategic expansion beyond hair care into the lip care category.
In 2025, the hair care brand Moroccanoil, known for its extensive collection of hair care products such as masks, shampoos and leave-in treatments, ventured into the fragrance and bodycare categories with products scented with its iconic fragrance.
Now at the start of 2026, the brand has also launched into the facial skin care category with the launch of its Moroccanoil Lip Balm, declaring that its customers “have consistently expressed their desire for argan oil-infused versions of their daily essentials.”
“The expansion into the lip care category with our new Moroccanoil Lip Balm offers our customers a product that not only feels beautiful but truly transforms the health of their lips,” said Moroccanoil Co-founder, Carmen Tal. “Since the beginning, Moroccanoil has been committed to creating luxurious, argan oil-infused products that deliver both performance and indulgence.”
Argan oil and peptides
According to Moroccanoil, the new lip balm instantly hydrates lips for up to 24 hours after one application. It’s formulated with a blend of argan oil, argan butter, peptides and hyaluronic acid. The brand said that 95% of users agreed that after one week of use, it protected lips from dryness and cracking.
The new product is also packaged in 50% PCR packaging and comes in three different flavours: Moroccan Mint Tea, which gives a transparent sheen; Berry Pomegranate, which leaves a sheer berry tint; and Vanilla Date, which leaves a sheer pinky nude tint.
