- These advancements aim to redefine skincare, haircare and consumer experiences through technology-driven solutions.
From 6 January, some of the world’s biggest beauty and technology companies will gather in Las Vegas to launch cutting-edge tech innovations that could impact the future of the beauty industry. Here are some of the innovations set to launch at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2026.
Amorepacific unveils Skinsight electronic skin platform
At CES 2026, South Korean beauty multinational Amorepacific will unveil its latest technology, Skinsight, co-developed with a research group from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). The innovation is described as a next-generation electronic skin platform that analyses real-time skin-ageing signals to predict ageing and deliver personalised solutions.
The user applies a sensor patch to their skin to measure various ageing-related factors influenced by lifestyle and environment, while AI technology provides customised care recommendations. The technology can also track skin changes across different types of environments.
L’Oréal introduces Light Straight + Multi-styler
French multinational L’Oréal is showcasing its new Light Straight + Multi-styler, which uses patented infrared light technology to style hair at lower temperatures, reducing damage to hair health. The device features glass plates that straighten hair at a much lower temperature compared to most traditional straighteners.
According to instrumental tests conducted by L’Oréal, the styler works three times faster and leaves hair twice as smooth compared to premium hair stylers. The handheld device uses near-infrared light – a wavelength just beyond the visible light spectrum that penetrates deeply into hair fibres – to reshape internal hydrogen bonds, helping preserve the hair’s natural cuticle for smoother, shinier and stronger results.
“Light Straight + Multi-styler moves hairstyling beyond correction into prevention,” explained Guive Balooch, Global Vice President of Augmented Beauty and Open Innovation at L’Oréal Groupe and member of the Consumer Technology Association’s Board of Industry Leaders. “Limiting cumulative heat exposure to help preserve the integrity of natural hair from the start, we’re enabling consumers to protect their hair now and for the future. We believe this innovation sets a new standard in precision styling, not just upgrading, but redefining the entire hairstyling category.”
Light Straight + Multi-styler is set to launch globally in 2027.

Cosmax launches Maxspace for customised beauty
Korean contract manufacturer Cosmax’s Maxspace device creates customised beauty products such as skincare, base makeup and liquid lip products. Developed with Professor Kim Ho-young at Seoul National University, the tool allows for a variety of physical properties and colour combinations.
LG Household & Health Care debuts Hyper Rejuvenating Eye Patch
LG Household & Health Care will showcase its Hyper Rejuvenating Eye Patch. The wearable device integrates proprietary skin-diagnosis technology with customised ingredient delivery and light therapy to analyse individual ageing patterns and provide personalised treatment.
Amorepacific and Samsung collaborate on AI Beauty Mirror
Amorepacific will also present its AI-powered skin analysis technology, integrated into Samsung Electronics’ AI Beauty Mirror. Using camera-based optical diagnostics, the technology assesses pore condition, redness, pigmentation and wrinkles, then recommends personalised skincare solutions based on a dataset of over 450,000 cases.
Results from the analysis are incorporated into skincare solutions provided by makeON’s ONFACE LED Mask, equipped with 3,770 micro red LEDs, and Skin Light Therapy 3S, a personalised skincare device for daily use, offering immediate improvements in skin condition.

Perfect Corp introduces AI Beauty Agent tools
Perfect Corp, which offers AI and AR solutions for beauty, fashion and retail, will reveal a new era of AI agents and developer-first API innovation at CES 2026. These advancements showcase how intelligent AI agents and modular, scalable APIs are redefining personalisation, product discovery and visual experiences for the modern shopper.
The YouCam AI Agent is Perfect Corp’s next-generation beauty assistant designed to deliver personalised, conversational beauty experiences at scale. Using a single selfie combined with real-time dialogue, the YouCam AI Agent analyses skin concerns, understands shopper preferences and dynamically recommends products, routines and looks tailored to everyone.
The tech adapts intelligently throughout the customer journey, answering beauty questions, guiding product comparisons and delivering contextual recommendations that evolve with user input.
L’Oréal develops LED Face Mask for targeted skincare
L’Oréal will also introduce the development of an LED Face Mask for targeted skincare. The ultra-thin, flexible silicone mask – currently in prototype form – delivers light directly to the face. Developed with iSmart, a global leader in LED device innovation, the mask is designed to combat visible signs of ageing such as fine lines, sagging and uneven tone through targeted red light and near-infrared light.
L’Oréal believes the key to the mask’s effectiveness is its transparent support, which integrates a skin-safe microcircuit to precisely control the emission of two selected wavelengths of light – red light (630 nm) and near-infrared light (830 nm), each of which work to visibly firm and smooth skin while evening skin tone.
LED Face Mask is expected to launch in 2027.
