In South Korea, Naolys has appointed IMCD Group Korea as the exclusive distributor for its ExoCell range, which features exosome-based active ingredients. This collaboration marks a pivotal step in Naolys’ expansion across Asia, introducing cutting-edge innovations such as Aethelis Granata to one of the world’s most advanced and trend-driven beauty markets.
Meanwhile, in Germany, Naolys is partnering with Nordmann, Rassmann GmbH (NRC), a leading international distributor of raw materials and specialty chemicals. NRC will represent Naolys’ full portfolio, including active plant cells, ExoCell exosome-based ingredients, and bespoke developments.
According to Naolys, its Aethelis Granata customisable exosome, the result of a two-year applied research programme with the University of Bordeaux, has been well received since its launch at the in-cosmetics Global show in April.
Aethelis Granata, uses the biological power of pure exosomes extracted from pomegranate plant cells and influences a key post-translational modification process that is linked to epigenetic regulation. Through this pathway, Naolys said it has been “proven to trigger a cascade of cellular responses” and that “it supports chromatin organisation, enhances DNA repair mechanisms, stimulates mitochondrial energy production, and reinforces intercellular communication, ultimately contributing to a visibly healthier, more resilient skin.”
Naolys partners with IMCD & NRC to scale ExoCell globally
We spoke with Anne-Laure Larriviere at Naolys and she explained that Germany is a key player in the European cosmetics market, known for its rigorous standards and commitment to product quality and compliance. Over recent years, Naolys has observed growing interest in its biotechnology from German companies. NRC was selected due to its proven reliability as a partner in Poland.
“Their experience in Germany and deep understanding of local regulations and market trends made them the ideal choice to help us grow in this region,” said Larriviere. “We’re confident this partnership will boost our visibility and strengthen our presence in Germany.”
In South Korea, Larriviere highlighted the country’s reputation for innovation in skincare and its demand for scientifically backed ingredients.
“IMCD brings speed, market insight, and global support through our new South Korean subsidiary,” she said. “We saw a clear opportunity to introduce our exosome-based ingredients in a market where their unique benefits can truly stand out.”
Looking ahead, Naolys plans to focus on custom development for exosomes and expand its ExoCell portfolio with new active ingredients.
