As hair care continues to take inspiration from the skin care category, we explore some of the latest new launches to know about.

Slick Gorilla Hair & Scalp Scrub

A soothing scrub treatment that’s been specially formulated with natural exfoliant sea salt, sweet almond oil and hydrated silica.

The plant-based, vegan-friendly formula was created to deep cleanse the hair and scalp while removing product build up and excess oil.

Prose Custom Scalp Serum

As more hair care shoppers claim to have a sensitive scalp, Prose has a launched a serum with a “personalised formula” that it claims “is made just for you with over 85 factors addressing individual scalp needs, concerns, and environments, powered by a unique combination of natural ingredients.”

It features 99% of ingredients from natural origin and is certified as “microbiome-friendly.”

According to the brand, the product is “proven to respect the scalp microbiome balance and diversity, avoiding scalp irritation, sensitivity, oiliness or dryness, and flakiness.”

viemaa Bond Shampoo

The new shampoo is formulated with hydrolysed pea protein, which is similar to the amino acids commonly found in the hair. It also includes a range of natural moisturising ingredients such as mango butter, coconut oil, grape seed oil and pumpkin seed oil.

In terms of new claims, the brand says that the formula features a “unique patented Biomimetic Cuticle Technology,” which can “selectively and efficiently bind to damaged hair and repair the broken hair cuticle.”

Hair + Me

Dermatologist favourite brand Skin + Me has recently branched out into hair care with the launch of Hair + Me.

Its range of two hair loss treatments for both men and women were designed by dermatologists.

The new products, The Drops and The Capsules, contain formulations that are personalised to meet the user’s bespoke hair goals and have been created with Minoxidil, Finasteride and Dutasteride, which the brand claimed are potent hair growth ingredients. The Drops also includes natural oils from lavender, eucalyptus and tea tree.

K18 AstroLift

The Unilever-owned brand has recently launched AstroLift Volume Spray, a lightweight, buildable styling mist that is designed to restore volume, strength and flexibility to fine, fragile and ageing hair.

The formulation includes the brand’s signature K18 Peptide and works at a molecular level to reverse damage caused by chemical treatments, ageing and environmental stressors.

The hair repairing formulation also features a hair fibre volumising blend that can increase strand diameter and create body and bounce that the brand claims will last for up to two days.
