Beautypro’s Managing Director Ibs Ansari said this move is part of his company’s clear strategy to grow through targeted acquisitions of innovative, founder-led brands.
“We believe Skin Sapiens has exceptional growth potential, aligning perfectly with our values of sustainability, efficacy, and consumer-first solutions,” he shared.
This is Beautypro’s second recent acquisition. In March 2024, it acquired vegan brand Wildtree Skincare.
Skin Sapiens complements Beautypro’s portfolio as it specialises in natural, fragrance-free skin care and sustainable packaging.
Ansari noted that Skin Sapiens enjoys a strong and loyal customer base “with a remarkable 43% repeat purchase rate as well as six figure revenue that was combined with a national retailer listing.”
Despite limited recent marketing investment, he said that the brand retains robust growth potential, bolstered by its solid supply chain and plans to expand into the suncare and hair care segments.
Effective sensitive skin care
Skin Sapiens founder James Jardella said that Skin Sapiens was founded on the knowledge that transparency is key to effective sensitive skin care.
“Since our start in 2018, we’ve challenged the status quo by blending carefully selected botanicals into naturally simple formulas that deliver real results,” he explained.
“What started as a balm made in our kitchen for my newborn son has since evolved into a perfume-free skin care range with targeted benefits for all ages, genders, and sensitive skin types.”
Jardella said that the brand’s core values align with Beautypro’s and that he was excited that Skin Sapiens would now “scale further and help even more people feel confident in their sensitive skin.”
On track to achieve eight-figure growth turnover
The acquisition follows Beautypro’s own impressive growth. The brand said it is on track to achieve group turnover of eight figures.
Ansari shared: “These investments are important to our growth but also to create job opportunities, we’ve also invested into our new headquarters that has become the new home for the business.”
“We look forward to collaborating closely with James and his team to elevate the brand to its full potential,” he said.
