Speciality chemicals distributor, Biesterfeld Spezialchemie, is growing its existing relationship with flavour, fragrance and botanical extract name, Carrubba by expanding it into the European marketplace.

German-based Biesterfeld Spezialchemie has announced that it will extend the availability of selected products from US company, Carubba’s portfolio, across the continent.

Growing product presence

Carubba will see its aromatic extracts and odour absorber DeoPlex made accessible throughout Europe, with the exception of the British Islands.

Sales of custom-made aromatic extracts have been the core focus of the two company’s partnership growth strategy as these extracts are often preferred and selected as alternatives to perfume.

Focusing specifically on the sales of aromatic extracts, Biesterfeld and Carrubba will emphasise the availability of Carubba’s oil- and water-soluble products.

In Europe, Biesterfeld will also promote the US name’s odour absorbers, which operate under the DeoPlex trade name.

The DeoPlex odour absorbers can be used in a broad array of cosmetics formulations to neutralise odours or limit displeasing smells of other raw materials contained within the personal care products.

As a United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) organic certified version for natural cosmetics, DeoPlex can be used in a wide range of cosmetic applications including deodorants and foot creams.

Building its existing partnership

“We do see a lot of interest in the Carrubba products and our experience in the DACH region has clearly shown that customers are searching for alternatives to perfume and also individual and custom-made products,” outlined Inga Borowski, Product Manager at Biesterfeld Spezialchemie.

Following the extension of its collaboration with Biesterfeld, Joey Carrubba, Account representative at Carrubba comments on the company’s partnership by describing it as “full of trust and enthusiasm”.
