Bright young scientists within the fields represented by the German association SEPAWA (Soap, Perfume, Cosmetic and Detergent Experts Association) are invited to apply for the annual award before the deadline of 17 June 2019.

The awards aim to further the advancement of junior scientists in the particular fields related to the association, and up to eight awards will be granted to excellent junior scientists.

Prizes of between 500 EUR and 3000 EUR are up for grabs to support young scientists in the relevant sectors, judged by an independent and neutral jury of experts made up of designated members of the scientific advisory board and the board of SEPAWA.

“The association, whose purpose it is to encourage the practical and scientific education and further training of all those working in the fields of detergents and cleansers, cosmetics, perfumery as well a chemical-technical applications, is thus providing a great incentive for a scientific examination of its subject areas,” SEPAWA explains.

The awards ceremony will take place in October 2019 at the SEPAWA Annual Congress, held in Berlin, Germany.

Evaluation criteria to meet

In order to be in with a chance of being awarded, entrants must meet the following criteria, and prove they do this by submitting documents to SEPAWA in either English or German:

1) The subjects of the papers ought to be application-oriented and in line with the fields of the SEPAWA.

2) Continuous, efficient studies, outstanding grades as well as quality and relevance of the supplied thesis are the basic qualifications for a SEPAWA Award.
