At in-cosmetics Global in Paris this month Cosmetics Design sat down with Tamara Rausch, Product Manager of Lycored, a wellness and supplement company that’s moving in to the skin care ingredient supply business.

“We really believe that beauty comes from within” emphasizes Tamara Rausch, product manager of Lycored, in her conversation with Cosmetics Design editor Deanna Utroske.

And she goes on to explain the company’s position on skin care, saying, “All the nutrients we consume from food and also supplements are nourishing the skin; and [at Lycored] we are not competing [with] topical cosmetics; we are more promoting the holistic concept of having a healthy diet, being happy, having good topical care in order to get the best look that you can.”

The Lycored portfolio of ingredients (carotenoids, vitamins, colorants, etc.) and supplement production services is well established. The company has been in business since 1995 and has facilities in New Jersey here is the States, in the UK, and in Israel. “The tomato is our superfood, so everything comes out of the tomato just naturally,” says Rausch referring to the company’s skin care supplement ingredients like lycopene, phytoene, and phytofluene.

“It’s very important for us to just take what nature offers us because we believe that nature is offering us wellness,” Rausch tells Cosmetics Design. Watch the full video interview above to learn more about Lycored’s approach to beauty from within.
