Packaging has never been a more crucial element of beauty and personal care: the recent Cosmoprof trade show dedicated several features to the packaging industry. Here, we shine a spotlight on the winners of the Cosmopack Awards.

The judges selected five exhibitors from the show as the winners of the Cosmopack Awards, rewarding innovation, creativity and attention to sustainability.

Skin care packaging technology winner: Asquan Group, NFC Smart Packaging Technology

Asquan Group's NFC Technology is a concept- smart packaging solution that can be used for consumer engagement, product tracking as well as brand protection.

NFC offers brands the opportunity to engage their client base through a variety of interactive campaigns.

“Everything from offering tips on makeup trends and makeup tutorials to offering refills, discounts on re-purchases as well as showing other products in the range or other related products,” says the company.

“Brands can opt to introduce new products launching in coming months or simply introduce their brand image and philosophy to the consumer.”

Skin care formula winner: Omnicos Group, Beauty Mask Stones Pret a Porter

A daily caring mask in dry powder form, set in the shape of stones in two colours for different results.

The white stone shape offers moisturising benefits, while the black stones offer an ‘extreme action’ against impure skin, according to the company.

Users add water to the stones to create their mask on the go, with the company describing it as easy, quick and efficient.

Packaging design winner: Premi Spa, 3D Inkjet Technology

The company describes its tech as a revolutionary 3D touch experience, offering ‘decoration unlike any other decoration’.

“The 3D inkjet allows the fast customization to follow the latest trends and time saved for compatibility test,” the company says.

“Inkjet 3D s the ideal solution for premium customization of highly creative and textured artwork for limited editions and promotional branding without investing on new molds.”

Make-up packaging technology winner: Pennelli Faro, Fless (d)Detail

A flexible concealer applicator that is "wearable" on a finger.

“It perfectly adapts itself to the finger shape, facilitating the typical gestures of a detailed make-up. It’s compact, practical and easy to use in any situation,” says the company.

It is a practical concealer applicator,  compact and easy to use. The original shape allows a comfortable and precise product application.

“The brush micro-tuft is integrated into the rubber grip. This combination allows the maximum versatility for precise movements along the face profile and the eyes area,” says the company.

Winner of make-up formula: B. Kolormakeup & Skincare: Pure VELVET VEIL Hybrid Skin Perfector

Like a primer-foundation, Pure Velvetveil creates a filler-effect base capable of smoothing and evening out the complexion and banishing the shiny look.

The vegan and paraben-free formula uses coated pigments in a blend of spherical powders and natural micas, which are Child Labor certificated, according to the company.
