Cosmetics regulation: dive into the latest with COSMED’s next meeting
Cosmed, a professional association for the beauty industry, is hosting its next annual meeting dedicated to regulatory concerns for the industry.

This day will be held on March 22 in Paris, in the premises of Business France, Cosmed’s partner on this event.

The event is aimed at all professionals in the cosmetics industry who wish to keep abreast of recent changes in the various regulations in order to better control high-potential markets. For this 8th edition, the presentations will focus on the key regulatory events of recent months to which will be added marketing presentations. This day will thus allow to have a complete panorama on a country.

Due to the diversity of the program, the regulatory, export and marketing teams are expected to attend this day as well as company directors and consultants, the organisers explain. Full details are available here​.

Key topics and speakers

From a regulatory point of view, the news relating to China with the simplification of registration, Brazil with the work of ANVISA in terms of administrative simplifications and projects and the Andean community with the update of the cosmetic regulation last November will be discussed.

COSMED have the honor to welcome our Brazilian counterparts (ABIHPEC) as well as the Andean authorities (the secretary general of Andean Community).

On the marketing and export side, the local Business France teams will present the main players in their respective countries as well as current trends.

The government agency Enterprise Singapore will present in detail the challenges and opportunities of e-commerce in ASEAN (Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore etc ...).

Chinese marketing marketing strategies will be explained in detail by a communication agency specializing in this country.

  • Review of the Cosmed survey: The risks of international inspections

International Regulatory team of Cosmed, will present the results of the Cosmed survey conducted in 2018 to all companies in the sector identifying the main topics of international inspections as well as countries where controls are most active.

Inspections carried out by certain local authorities (China, Turkey, USA, etc.) will also be presented.

The latest news regarding the registration of cosmetic products in China will be presented by Grace GAO & Lydia YANG - HengCheng Group. The simplification of this procedure as well as the modalities for placing on the market by e-commerce will be detailed, with a focus on the latest draft Regulation (CSAR)..

  • Challenges and opportunities of e-commerce in South East Asia

Steve Cesse - Enterprise Singapore

This complete presentation (marketing and regulatory), conducted by Steve CESSE - Business Development Manager - Enterprise Singapore, on e-commerce in ASEAN, will detail the key figures, the main actors by country, and will compare the benefits of e-commerce compared to a traditional procedure of placing on the market.

  • Andean Community: focus on recent regulations

Marcelo AGUILAR – Secretary General of the Andean Community

Marcelo AGUILAR –Secrétaire Général of Andean Community will provide an overview on the new texts published in November 2018 and will present the latest changes on marketing procedures (registration, FSC ...), on GMP and will announce upcoming projects.

  • Key figures and key players for China, Brazil and Colombia

Export Advisors from Business France

Business France Team from Sao Paulo, Shangai and Colombia will present the key points of the cosmetics market in their respective countries. For China, e-commerce will be mainly targeted.
