Cosmoprof Bologna 2019 event designed around sustainability
The organisers of next year’s Cosmoprof Bologna, one of the biggest global industry events, say that this year’s event has been carefully put together around the concept of sustainability.

This year the event will take place at the Bologna Fair Districk, between 14 – 18 March, incorporating the Cosmopack event 14 – 17 March and the Cosmo event 15 – 18 March.

But for the 2019 event the prevailing industry trained for increased sustainability throughout the supply chain will also permeate all aspects of the event.

Look out for sustainability initiatives at the event

The event organisers note that businesses are showing an increased commitment to becoming eco-sustainable both in terms of their business operations and their products, while consumers are becoming more aware of natural ingredients and eco-packaging.

The Cosmoprof team says its initiatives for the show have embraced these trends, while also pledging its own commitment to make the actual event more sustainable and eco-friendly.

Likewise, the show will also be platforming sustainability and eco-friendly initiatives by exhibitors on the show floor, with the aim of inspiring other businesses to stay ahead of everything that is helping to drive this important trend.

The circular economy

One of the driving forces behind recent sustainability has been an emphasis on a circular economy, one that minimizes waste by ensuring that waste is minimized by, for example, maximizing product life.

This means that manufacturers are being called upon to use renewable energy sources and recycling waste products from the manufacturing process.

These topics will be highlighted in the seventh edition of the factory project, which will be themed to highlight how circular economy initiatives are serving to make the manufacturing process more efficient and eco-friendly by manufacturing a hair care product on the show floor.

Green Beauty

Hall 21 is where some of the most innovative brands will be highlighted at the event, many of which will have natural and organic ingredients, and some of the highest green credentials.

These products will showcased under the green beauty banner, and will represent some of the most forward-thinking and sustainable brands from all over the world.

This area will highlight the latest natural formulations, solutions, technologies, textures and efficacious products that are also being developed to have heightened sustainability credentials.
