in-cosmetics North America show director Daniel Zanetti talks about what was new at this year's event as well as how key industry trends such as color cosmetics growth and indie beauty are impacting business

So what was new? Well lots, as Daniel points out in this interview. And one of the biggest new innovations this year was the focus on indie beauty, the brands, and the people behind it.

Daniel points out that not only were exhibitors refining their services around the needs of indie providers, but also a large number of the presentations in the conference program and the networking sessions were all focused on this area.

Speed networking, trend tours and next year's date

New this year was also the speed networking sessions, helping connect different types of business with one another to serve different needs.

Another new addition was the marketing trend tours. Geared up towards marketing professionals and the press, the tours highlighted some of the most innovative product launches and concepts on the show floor from companies such as Gattfosse and Mibelle Group

Daniel also confirmed the dates for next year's show. It will again be held at the Jacob Javits Center, on October 24th and 25th, 2019 - a date for the calendars.
