Givaudan partners with Synthite to broaden natural fragrance options
Flavours and fragrance player Givaudan has announced a strategic partnership with natural fragrance player Synthite in a bid to broaden its portfolio offerings in this area.

The partnership will see the two companies work together on the research and development of natural fragrances of floral and spice origin, including jasmine, cardamom, tuberose and ginger.

These fragrances have formed a part of Synthite’s expertise and area of specialization, so by working together the two companies are aiming to expand the market for these out of the ordinary fragrances.

Givaudan aims for innovation

A core part of Givaudan’s 2020 strategic goals is to expand its offerings to consumers brands in the cosmetic, personal care and fragrance categories in an effort to offer more choice and create a portfolio of more unusual and innovative fragrances.

“We are always looking for innovative solutions and Synthite brings to us an impressive expertise in the development of new natural fragrance ingredients,”​ said Maurizio Volpi, president of Givaudan’s fragrance division.

“We will use their existing capabilities to craft locally unique exclusive new floral and spicy qualities that will define the signatures of consumers’ favourite brands. We strongly believe this partnership with Synthite responds to the increasing consumer demand for natural products.”

Synthite adds spice to Givaudan’s portfolio

Synthite was established in 1972 and had been built into a global business that is renowned for its expertise in botanical extracts for both flavors and fragrance, many of which are sourced and grown in native India.
