Unilever’s platform for startups and innovators to engage, collaborate and explore business opportunities with Unilever and its 400-plus brand portfolio has launched its Foundry 30 SEAA community.

Innovation applications

On 13th September 2017 in Singapore, Unilever Foundry announced that it had opened applications for its Unilever Foundry30 SEAA programme.

Through the platform’s latest initiative, the personal care conglomerate will welcome 30 startups and scaleups. Winners will be selected based on their development and production of innovative and impactful technology to South East Asian and Australasian markets.

As Unilever strives to make sustainable living a global reality, it will announce the winning startups on 25th October 25th at the Millennial 20/20 conference in Singapore, which is held between 25th October-26th October 2017.

Startup categories include retail; media and advertising; brand and content innovation; data, insights and personalisation; and sustainability and social impact.

Joining the Unliever community

The winners will receive a free pass to the conference and a free demo and exhibition area. In addition, they will obtain access to exclusive networking with Unilever brand leaders, along with the opportunity to meet “innovative game-changers who are shaping the future of next-generation commerce”. They will also have the chance to use the Level3 workspace for a week, beginning on 23rd October.

“The opportunity for young companies to tackle real-world problems as South East Asian economies develop cannot be overstated,” expressed Barbara Guerpillon, head of Unilever Foundry SEAA and Level3, Unilever Foundry’s workspace housed in Unilever’s Asia headquarters in Singapore.

Emphasising the company’s commitment to harnessing the potential and development of startup names, Guerpillon added: “Unilever and the Unilever Foundry are fully committed to identifying and harnessing the energy and ambition of startups across South East Asia and Australasia. At Level3 we are lucky to house some of the region’s most promising startups. In addition to inviting them to apply to become part of the Foundry 30 SEAA, we welcome any other startup looking to grow to make their home at Level3.”

The application deadline is midnight, 1st October 2017.
