FreeFrom Skincare Awards: winners revealed
Whittled down from 200 products from over 100 brands, the FreeFrom Skincare Awards have announced the winning products.

With the huge consumer appetite for naturals and organics as strong as ever, events such as these tap into the ongoing demand for products that make ‘free from’ claims on packaging.

The awards are spread across 14 product categories, plus Best Free From Achievement, Best Free From Skincare Brand, as well as the overall top award for Best FreeFrom Skincare Product. The event was held 7 July in London.

Benesco won the top award with its classic lip balm this year, taking the Overall Award for Best Free From Skincare Product.

“The Free From Skincare Awards were founded in 2012 to encourage and reward manufacturers of skincare products ‘free from’ some of the allergens, chemicals, additives and fragrances associated with skin sensitivities, allergies, ethical and health concerns,” the organisers explain.

Winners revealed

Among the 14 category winners were Rosalena’s Beauty & The Beast Face Oil, Green People’s Scent Free Shampoo, Living Naturally’s Oat Milk & Calendula Soapnut Soap, and Nyasa London’s Pure Glow Cleansing Balm.

Cornish body and skincare brand Bloomtown took the prestigious Best Free From Brand Award, while Honesty’s Protect Nourishing Cleanse Balm won the Free From Achievement Award.

“We had a wide selection of entries for various skin concerns this year,” said Awards Administrator, Kirsty Mawhinney. “Mrs Frisbee’s Tattoo Aftercare Balm and Siskyn’s Rosehip & Tamanu Scars & Stretchmark Body Oil both won their categories, but we also liked many products for acne reduction, nail nourishment, pore improvement and hair repair.”

A full list of all Gold, Silver and Bronze winners is here. Entries for the 2018 Awards will open in January.
