New features at in-cosmetics Global: sustainability corner and makeup bar
The show, which gathers industry professionals from across the beauty and personal care supply chain from around the world, will take place next spring in London, 4 - 6 April 2017.
Its two new features will offer visitors an insight into two key areas of current focus for the industry: sustainability and formula innovation in the colour cosmetics segment.
“Always keen to align itself with the industry’s key trends, in-cosmetics Global will launch a variety of new concepts in London,” the event’s organisers said of the new initiatives.
Makeup in the spotlight
The new Make-up Bar area of the show will be dedicated to prototype formulae for lips, eyes, nails and skin, with leading international suppliers able to demo their expertise in innovative pigments and technologies.
It offers an opportunity for finished product manufacturers to explore ingredients, with the show’s organisers saying they intend it to help deliver captivating and trend-setting colour cosmetics products.
“To support the most dynamic category in the cosmetic market [according to Cosmetics Europe] and growing demand for colour cosmetics, the 2017 edition will see the launch of the Make-up Bar,” Reed Exhibitions notes.
“Visitors will have the opportunity to explore a range of innovative functional ingredients and technologies – all developed by the event’s exhibitors.”
Sustainability
Another new feature will be the show’s Sustainability Corner, an area designed to showcase leading environmental and social sustainability initiatives.
“Climate change, diminishing resources and globalisation are pushing the cosmetic industry to profoundly change the way it operates,” notes the in-cosmetics team
At the Sustainability Corner, the team explains, “leading suppliers will share the ways they have developed or reformulated an ingredient or product to be more sustainable. A series of presentations will take place during the event, enabling visitors to debate key issues and learn how the industry is working towards achieving the UN SDGs targets.”
