Dr. Bronner’s eyes larger slice of 'key' UK market
Dr. Bronner’s says it is aiming to increase its presence in the strategically important UK market with the announcement of a new distribution deal.

The California-based company has established itself as the leading natural soap player in the US, thanks largely to the big success of its Castile soap range, which has exploded in popularity in recent years off the back of multifunctional claims and the purity of the formulation.

Now the company is looking to replicate this success in the UK market by expanding its presence in retail channels across the country and tapping into the fast-moving and progressive consumer patterns that make the UK one of the most dynamic retail markets for cosmetics and personal care in the world.

Advancing global strategy

Executives at Dr. Bronner’s have appointed the Healthy Sales Group as its UK distributor, which ties in with the company’s strategy to increase its global footprint and expand its product offerings in newer markets.

More specifically, the company’s expansion into the UK market ties in with newer brand developments with it portfolio, a revised retail strategy and the impending launch of a natural toothpaste range in the UK.

The company said that it views the UK market as "key" to the expansion of its global portfolio, which currently encompasses 25 countries and includes the headquarters of its European operations in Germany.

To enforce this strategy the company is targeting the natural health market in the UK and will be looking to expand its retail footprint in high end retailers and concept stories, with the support of its UK PR company, The Spa PR Company.

Meeting increased demand

Dr. Bronner’s growth in the UK market has been supported by distributor Kinetic over the past ten years, which has served to make the company a major operator in the naturals space, there.

“In recent years, we have experienced significant growth globally and we feel it is the right time to realign our distribution model to best match the needs of our customers, partners and the evolving international landscape,” ​said Dr. Bronner’s President, Michael Bronner in the press statement.
