Cosmetics Design recently spoke to Gay Timmons, the founder of ingredient supplier Oh Oh Organic, to find out about how her quest to find sustainable and ethically produced palm oil took her to the South American country of Ecuador.

In this interview Timmons underlines that the reason she still chooses palm oil is because it continues to have by far the lowest agricultural footprint compared to any of the other natural alternatives.

Not content with RSPO certification, she wanted to find a supplier who could also pledge that its palm oil was ethically produced, which is why Timmons got on a plane and went to see the Ecuadorian palm plantations for herself.
