Estée Lauder has teamed up Victoria Beckham to launch a limited edition make-up collection which will launch in September 2016 at select retailers around the world, Victoria Beckham stores and on both the company and the icon’s own websites.

At present the collection, which will be named Victoria Beckham Estée Lauder, is being kept under wraps; but is said to be influenced by the style icon and acclaimed fashion designer, who is said to be ‘excited’ by the partnership and the opportunity.

“I am thrilled to be launching this limited edition make-up collection with Estée Lauder,” says Victoria Beckham.

“The whole process has been both inspiring and eye opening - from going back and revisiting the Estée Lauder archives through to working on the product with the Estée team, this feels like the perfect make-up partnership for me and my brand.”

Beckham adds that she has long admired Estée Lauder the woman, and the powerful brand that she created, and is looking forward to embarking on the development of a make-up range with the brand and playing a small role in the company’s vision.

Star status

When it comes to celebrities partnering with beauty brands for a product or range, this can normally fall into two camps – those that are looking to extend on their fame and image and put their name on products, and those that are more involved in the beauty and fashion world and play an active role in developing the collections.

Stars such as Jessica Alba and Miranda Kerr are those that have been more involved with the development of beauty brands, with The Honest Company and Kora Organics respectively, and it is thought that Victoria Beckham will fall into this category with the Estée Lauder partnership, given her presence in the fashion world and large following.

“We are excited to join forces and bring Victoria’s take on beauty to her many fans around the world,” says Jane Hertzmark Hudis, Group President, The Estée Lauder Companies.

“Victoria is an entrepreneur in the true spirit of our founder, Estée Lauder, with a real understanding of what women want, and a commitment to making women look and feel their most beautiful. Victoria has a passion for beauty and we are delighted to welcome her into our brand.”
