The in-cosmetics trade show organisers are calling for the industry to put forward nominations for its third lifetime achievement award for distinguished colleagues, with the deadline closing tomorrow.

This particular accolade is only handed out every three years, having begun in 2010, and with the show returning to Paris in just six weeks, the organisers invite the industry to celebrate the work of a leading figure in the world of cosmetics and those whose professional achievements have made a significant and lasting impact.

Entries for nominated individuals are to be submitted online by 2 March, after which four professionals, selected by a panel of industry leaders, will go through to a public vote; and the overall winner will be crowned during the in-cosmetics Awards 2016 reception in Paris on 13 April.

“We’re delighted to be presenting our third Lifetime Achievement Award at this year’s in-cosmetics event,” says Cathy Laporte, Exhibition Director at in-cosmetics.

“The cosmetic industry has some truly remarkable figures working within it, many of whom have done exceptional work in creating unique products that allow businesses to keep up with ever-changing consumer demands. We look forward to celebrating the achievements of another leading figure this year.”

Previous winners

As mentioned, the award is having its third outing, having been launched in 2010 at the in-cosmetics event and was presented to Dr Alain Khaiat, founder of Seers Consulting, for his distinguished career in the field of cosmetic science and dedication to product safety.

Three years later, the award returned at the 2013 event and was presented to Dr Karl Lintner of Kal I’dees for his work on skin biochemistry.

“Winning the Lifetime Achievement Award is a wonderful accolade as it is bestowed just once every three years. It recognises true innovation and commitment in the industry and I look forward to seeing who will be presented with the award at this year’s show,” adds Dr Lintner.

The Lifetime Achievement Award will be complemented by a programme of other accolades that will be presented in Paris, such as the annual Innovation Zone Best Ingredient, as well as the Green Ingredient Award, in association with Organic Monitor.
