BRB Silicones announces the appointment of Azelis Turkey as its new distributor for its Personal Care portfolio in the country, having also launched a new silicone resin with a long-lasting effect.

The new deal will see Azelis partner BRB in Turkey for its Personal Care market, as of February 1st, 2016, offering the specialty and core silicones to the industry.

“We are very glad to extend our cooperation with the Azelis Group in Turkey, the leading specialty chemical distributor from 1st of February,” says Marc Ladreyt, Global Marketing Manager at BRB Silicones.

“Azelis has strong expertise in Personal Care and is highly focused on specialty segments. Their product range and philosophy perfectly match our ambition to further grow our presence in the Turkish Personal Care market, with our continuously increasing portfolio of silicones.”

Azelis seems equally happy with the deal having teamed up with a big player in silicone manufacture and supply.

“We believe that our customers will strongly benefit from this partnership,” adds Sertaç Sürür, Managing Director of Azelis Turkey.

“Our experienced people look forward to meeting customers’ product requirements and delivering the first class service that they need to grow their businesses.”

New silicone resin

The Dutch ingredient supplier has also launched its BRB TMS 50 I product stating it is key to achieve long lasting and durable effect regardless of a formula.

BRB TMS 50-I is a solution of trimethylsiloxysilicate, which is a BRB specialty silicone resin, in isododecane, and has a peculiar non-linear 3-dimensional structure.

When applied on a surface, isododecane quickly evaporates and aids sealing trimethylsiloxysilicate to form a uniform barrier resin film.

Because of its capacity to attach on skin, BRB says the ingredient provides colour transfer resistance helping to hold pigments in place, and is ideal for a kiss-proof lipstick or a long wearing make-up.

The ingredient also promises to bring wash-off and rub-off resistance to sun care products, as well as high performance in hair care.
