in-cosmetics Paris 2016 set to be biggest show yet
The event takes place from April 12-14 next year, and is touted to be 1,000m2 larger than lastyear, with more than 700 international suppliers showcasing the latest cosmetics ingredients, raw materials and technologies.
One of the new interactive features added to the Paris edition is the Sensory Bar, where formulations with interesting textures or innovative sensations can be tested.
The event will also feature a special market focus on the USA this year, with a dedicated pavilion, supported by the US Department of Commerce, following on from the focus on from the Turkey and Middle East focus at the 2015 show.
Being in Paris once again, the French personal care sector, as the world’s largest exporter of cosmetic products, is also expected to play a key role in the success of the 2016 event.
Familiar features too…
Along with the new features for the 2016 exhibition, some familiar formats return once more with the Innovation Zone set to display more than 80 recently launched ingredients and technologies, as well as a host of innovative finished products selected by Mintel.
The educational program also returns with a host of new seminars, workshops and debates, conducted by industry experts, and covering the most crucial scientific , regulatory, and market subject areas.
There will also be a Lab Zone, where visitors can meet suppliers of small laboratory equipment, and a Testing and Regulation Zone which will provide advice on regulatory compliance, measuring efficacy and how to ensure the safety, stability and shelf-life of products.
The Fragrance Zone returns too with manufacturers on hand to discuss the latest trends, formulation challenges and consumer buying behaviour.
Once again, the Beiersdorf Innovation Pitch, Innovation Zone Best Ingredient Award, Green Award and brand new Sensory Award will all be handed out at the event, as will the Lifetime Achievement Award, which runs every three years, celebrating the accomplishments of individuals who have made a significant impact on the cosmetic industry.
