Eastern Europe target for DSM Personal Care with new distribution deal
DSM Personal Care announces it is upping its collaboration with Nordmann, Rassmann Group, and will employ the German firm as its sole distributor in Central and Eastern Europe.

As of the start of this month, the Eastern European division of Nordmann, Rassmann Group will exclusively distribute DSM’s full personal care product portfolio in Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Macedonia, Romania, Serbia and Slovakia.

The two companies have been collaborating with one another in Germany since 2013 and The Netherlands since 2014, focused solely on the cosmetics industry.


DSM Personal Care says that ties have strengthened recently due to the Polish market being added to its distribution portfolio in July 2014, and that the new deal with Nordmann, Rassmann Eastern Europe division will further intensify its global partnership.

“This extension will enable us to fulfil our ultimate objective of becoming a one-stop ingredients and solutions provider in our local market. We are excited to partner with DSM as we focus our combined energies serving a broader range of customers with industry-leading ingredients and solutions in the personal care market.”

Distribution deals

Nordmann, Rassmann Group specializes in the distribution of specialty chemicals and has an extensive network of offices throughout Eastern Europe, particularly in the cosmetics industry.

In what has been a year for distribution deals at DSM Personal Care, the company also signed a deal with 'Ingredient Plus Group' last month, where it will act as a third-party distributor of its personal care portfolio in Malaysia and Singapore.

At the start of the year, the company also increased its presence in South Asia having announced that Mascot Universal Pvt. Ltd will be its sole distributor in in the region.
