Jesel has been with the company for 14 years serving in a number of senior roles, notably for the MAC brand, and he also held marketing roles at L’Oréal brand Lancome prior to joining Estée Lauder.
In this role, he leads the global beauty brand, working directly with Tom Ford, President and CEO, and reporting to John Demsey, Group President, The Estée Lauder Companies.
“Guillaume has already had a major impact on the brand, and we are confident that his leadership skills and his experience in the world of cosmetics will help this brand grow into a major powerhouse,” says Demsey.
“Through his tenure at The Estée Lauder Companies and his career, he has gained a profound understanding of the global beauty industry. His experience is invaluable as we launch in China and continue to build our beauty business internationally,” adds Tom Ford.
Building on experience
Tom Ford Beauty was founded in 2005 and is now sold in more than 61 countries and includes connoisseur fragrances such as Tom Ford Black Orchid, Tom Ford Noir and the Tom Ford Private Blend Collection.
Three years ago, the brand entered the colour category with a complete range of Colour and Skin Treatments, and today the brand continues to redefine luxury and taste for global prestige beauty.
The hope is that Guillaume can help to continue this growth in the beauty arena, bringing a wealth of experience from previous roles.
At Estée Lauder he has served as Vice President, Global Make-up Marketing for the Estée Lauder brand, and Senior Vice President of Global and North America Marketing, MAC Cosmetics.
While at MAC, Jesel played an integral role in shaping the brand strategy with the leadership team, including the deployment of the brand’s more than 50 launches annually and overseeing Product and Consumer Marketing.
Estée Lauder also state that he helped lead the brand’s ground-breaking fashion and pop culture collaborations, establishing the brand as a leader in social media, and contributing to the success of its breakthrough Viva Glam campaigns in support of the MAC AIDS Fund.
