We speak with Tommy Kong to find out more about China market regulations and the type of strategies that are most effective for entry into the vast and still fast-growing market.

Kong, who is general manager of consultancy group Reach24H, which is represented by advisory and service company SmartXpansion in the EU, spoke to Cosmetics Design on the sidelines of last week's in-cosmetics Barcelona.

During the discussion Kong focused on the specific challenges of regulating in China, which invariably necessitate an agent or third party to ensure the all-important market approval.

He also discussed the most challenging markets to get approval for, underlining the fact that specialist categories such as sunscreen are amongst the most difficult, particularly for non-domestic players.

And the best approach to overall management of China regulations? Tune in to the video for Kong's advice on this crucial point.
