Narrow package trend leads to new Quadpack design
The Slim Well Pump, an addition to the Well Pump product line, was developed to “echo the enduring slimline trend,” says the company.
And the flip-top pump facilitates one-hand opening as well as controlled liquid dispensing: “There is no direct contact with the formula and hands are kept clean and dry,” according to Quadpack.
Yonwoo know-how
Taking advantage of the manufacturer’s established capability, “the pump's one-way valve helps prevent product contamination caused by seepage, while ensuring all product is used without waste,” explains a Quadpack press release about the new containers.
“Yonwoo patented airless technology protects formulas from oxygen, gas and external contaminants. Its check valve system further prevents seep-back, making it very appropriate for delicate, complex formulas,” according to a separate article on the Quadpack site
Other Yonwoo product lines cater specifically to cosmeceutical treatments and the company announced recently that it plans to move in to pharmaceutical packaging production:
"We have numerous packaging concepts with a clinical design," says Yonwoo marketing manager Kevin Parks. “We are now preparing to take the next step into the pharmaceutical market, which has its own set strict regulations."
Quadpack CEO Tim Eaves is enthusiastic about the Yonwoo venture: "The pharmaceutical sector has huge potential for a company of Yonwoo's calibre, with a robust R&D operation and a solid track record in technological innovation. We are ready and eager to support Yonwoo as its plans come to fruition."
Perhaps packaging innovations that Yonwoo develops for pharmaceutical use will retrofit to applications in the cosmetics and personal care industries.
Stretching further
Quadpack also just added two new jars to its Q-Line. The 5mL and 50mL containers are being shown for use by masstige face creams. The packages boast a three-piece polypropylene construction: inner jar, shive and inner cap.
This feature means the jars “can be used without concern for compatibility issues [and] makes it a particularly appealing proposition for cosmeceutical formulas,” states a company press release about the line extension.
