Informa creates global cluster for beauty events
The company has owned and run the Beyond Beauty event in Paris, France for many years now, but in the last year has expanded its footprint with the acquisition of the China Beauty Expo and the launch of the Beyond Beauty Asean event.
Like the Paris event, the China and Asean events aim to highlight latest trends, technologies and product launches in the packaging, contract manufacturing, ingredients, full service, nutricosmetics, fragrances, spa and professional hair care segments.
The three events also fit in with two other categories in the Informa Exhibitions portfolio – “Anti-aging and Aesthetic Beauty”, together with “Health & Nutrition”, which includes events in the Middle East, China, Europe and the US.

To run the newly formed cluster, Informa has appointed Claudia Bonfiglioli, as the International director of Information Beauty and Informa Baiwen (China Beauty Expo), a role in which she will primarily be required to develop the business further in the Middle East and Asia.
Bonfiglioli is the former international director of SoGeCos Milano, the Cosmoprof beauty platforms, and general manager of SoGeCos France.
Informa now has a total of 12 global exhibitions in the beauty cluster portfolio, including its original Beyond Beauty event, which is held in Paris every September.

It also has the China Beauty Expo held in Shanghai in May, together with the Asean event, which next year will be held in Bangkok at the end of September, together with the Anti-Aging & Spa China event, held in October each year – constituting its three Asian events.
In the Middle East it holds the Spameeting Business Meetings and the Cosmeeting Business Meetings in Abu Dhabi in December and in Europe it holds the Anti-Aging Medicine World Congress in Monaco, held in October.
It is also present in the functional ingredients and health ingredients area, holding the Supply Side West USA event in October, as well as the annual Vitafoods events Geneva, Hong Kong, Sao Paulo and South Africa.
