The pigments expert explains that the latest launches, such as its Colorona Synberry Pink, have been influenced by demand for synthetic substrates and also intense colours.

Likewise the company’s Ronastar Diamond Black was influenced by the trends that Merck researches. These all form part of the colour forecast predictions that the company produce, and it has just released its 2014/14 forecast to customers.

Becker also comments on how the Pigments business does not just stop at make-up and colour cosmetics; it is also important for skin and hair care, as special effects and colours can add value to these products.
