Aerosol packaging specialist opens new global innovation center in France
Global aerosol packaging provider, Lindal Group has opened a new innovation center in France in a bid to leverage its expertise and further support customers in developing innovative packaging solutions.

“The new Center of Excellence will further enhance customer service through integrated development of tomorrow’s innovative aerosol packaging solutions.”

According to Katharina Lilienthal, Lindal Group’s VP of innovation & new product development, the new center based in Briey, will be managed by Hervé Bodet and is an example of the Group’s commitment to long-term strategic planning.

In our quest for profitable, sustainable growth, we will continue to provide new levels of global efficiency and optimal product quality, service and support, in order to help our customers meet their goals and anticipate tomorrow’s market needs,” says Lilienthal.

The Center will feature a development and engineering room, a central laboratory, technical and market watch and tool room, and an industrialization department. It is also set to incorporate a sales, marketing, R&D, and business development department to enable the company to provide customers with better technical support and easier access to the company’s practices.

Lilienthal reckons the R&D hub will improve time-to-market, speed commercialization of new products and enhance overall quality and "as a result, will give us, and our customers, a major competitive advantage.”

The Germany-based company has been designing and manufacturing valves, actuators and spray caps for aerosols with dispensing solutions for more than 50 years for the cosmetics industry and is present in more than fifteen countries throughout Europe, Asia and The Americas.

Global expansion

This news comes just months after the Group reported seeing an increasing demand for its aerosol technology, in Mexico thanks to growing acceptance of deodorants and fragrances.

A key reason for increased personal care product demand, Lindal’s Jorge Rodriguez says, is the changing state of the Mexican consumer marketplace, as well as an increase in exports.

"Demand for our aerosol packaging solutions in Mexico demonstrates the new wave of acceptance for high quality personal care products that deliver value. [Lindal] has a number of exciting new launches with leading domestic brands. These include deodorants, fragrances and other personal care products."

As a result, company president Robert Brands says, the company will continue to improve and bolster its Mexican production facility, in anticipation of further demand from multinationals and local customers selling domestically and for export to the US, throughout the Americas and Europe.
