The founder of global naturals brand Aveda and owner of Intelligent Nutrients, is to give a keynote presentation at the forthcoming Natural & Organic Products Europe trade show, in London, UK.

The event takes place at the London Olympia on 7 – 8 April and Rechelbacher will be giving his presentation as the headline speaker for the event’s Natural Beauty & Spa Theatre seminar.

Rechelbacher is a dynamic and passionate speaker who invariably inspires his audiences, while not shying away from controversial topics or speaking his mind on anything he considers to be important.

'A true organic pioneer'

“Horst Rechelbacher is a true organic pioneer in every sense of the word and we’re honoured to welcome him to our Natural Beauty & Spa seminar programme,” said event manager Carol Dunning.

“Known throughout the world as an innovative and inspiring business leader who changed the face of the modern beauty industry, his views on the importance of using organically grown ingredients ‘that are good enough to eat’ and for promoting the adoption of sustainable, socially responsible and eco-friendly business practices – are shared by many of our exhibitors and visitors at the show.”

He is one of three original founders of Business for Social Responsibility, an organization that promotes the idea businesses must have the responsibility and opportunity to provide sustainability in all aspects of day-to-day living.

Cosmetics as food for the body

Indeed, Rechelbacher’s principle: “what we put on our bodies should be as safe and nutritious as what goes into our bodies” – is one that helped him conceive and develop the Aveda brand, the world’s first major natural and organic certified cosmetic brand.

In the presentation, Rechelbacher is also likely to touch on his latest business venture, Intelligent Nutrients, which produces a range of organic and natural certified beauty products and supplements using food grade ingredients.

The keynote presentation will take place at the event on Monday 8 April, and, on top of including details about his interesting route to the top of the industry, the presentation is also expected to give his vision for the future of the natural beauty category.

“Needless to say, we’re anticipating this session to generate a lot of interest at this year’s show,” Dunning said.
