This year the in-cosmetics European event will take place in Paris and is expected to be the biggest to date thanks to more exhibition spaces, as well as more exhibitors, conferences and promotional platforms.

This year the event will take place between April 16th and 18th at the Paris Expo De Versailles, which was also the venue for the 2010 in-cosmetics event and turned out to be the best attended in-cosmetics to date.

The fact that France, and more to the point Paris and its surrounding regions, is such a hub for both the European and global cosmetics industry, indicates that the 2013 event is likely to again be very well attended.

Organiser plans for biggest ever event

In anticipation of this, the event organiser, Reed Exhibitions, has decided to increase the number of exhibitors by 10 per cent this year, and already the available booth space is said to be 90 per cent sold out.

There will also be three significant new additions to the show’s list of events, which include the Fragrance Zone, the Testing and Regulation Zone and the H2O trail.

The Fragrance zone has been officially sponsored by the Société Francaise des Parfumeurs and will be an open plan area devoted to ingredients companies and service providers from this vital category.

These companies will be able to help guide visitors through the important choices behind fragrance formulation, which in turn serves to provide important differentiation and functionalities, to give the right sensory experience consumers are looking for.

Follow the H2O trail...

The H2O trail draws on the fact this is the mostly widely used component in any liquid-based cosmetic or personal care formulation, and the trail will highlight how water is used in products ranging from shampoos to deodorants and creams.

Topics that the trail area will tackle will include active substances originating from water, skin and care hydration, water-based functional ingredients and the sustainable development of water in formulations.

The Testing and Regulation Zone will take a closer look at the issues of safety, efficacy, claim support, quality and regulatory compliance, aspects of the industry that are becoming increasingly important if companies want to gain a crucial competitive edge.

This new area on the show floor will include service providers working in the areas of testing and regulatory compliance, who will be at hand to give visitors support and advice on any matters relating to these areas.
