The 2013 edition of the Cosmoprof event in Bologna will boast a new layout as it bids to take a look at all the distribution channels available to the cosmetics industry.

Show organisers SoCeGos, a BolognaFiere Group company, has announced that the 46th run-out of the cosmetics fair will showcase a new exhibition layout, which was devised to reflect the new market trends and create an improved visiting experience by exploiting the fair's two main entrances, Costituzione and Michelino.

Taking place on March 8-11, the packaging, beauty and spa, nail and hair sectors will benefit from a new layout which organisers hope will guarantee companies from the relevant areas a dedicated visit, as well as offering visitors a more fluid, organic and focused experience.

Innovation

The Country Pavilions at the show will also see two new entries in the form of India and Colombia, joining the host of national collectives returning for another year.

The 2013 show will also see some new ideas showcased:

‘The New Talent’ - a contest devised to develop young talent by supporting creativity from Italy and overseas.

‘Total Look’ - highlighting innovations for hair, make-up, nail style and clothing.

‘Spot-On-Beauty - dedicated to companies which have not attended the exhibition before, giving them the opportunity to present their products to qualified international buyers.

‘Beauty Avenue’ - a walkway running from the Piazza Costituzione entrance to the Beauty pavilions.

‘The Premium Perfumery’ - a new area for high-end established brands and new products from around the world.

Building on success

The figures show that 175,703 people attended the show in March this year during the four days of the 2012 event; a number increase of five per cent, with estimated 40,000-plus international visitors.

The exhibitors, from over 70 countries, exceeded the 2,300 threshold and the five new Country Pavilions (Mexico, California, Brazil, the Netherlands and Romania) raised the number of collectives from producer countries at the Fair to 20.
