The 2013 edition of the Personal Care and Homecare Ingredients (PCHi) trade show in China promises to be the best and most well attended edition yet according to conference organizer Reed Sinopharm Exhibitions (RSE).

Taking place from 13-15 March in the Guangzhou Poly World Trade Center, the show is set to boast 18,000sqm of floor space and play host to over 6,000 industry professionals.

PCHi 2013 will see over 300 international and Chinese companies - including 57 first time exhibitors - showcase their latest ingredients, and will also feature a comprehensive conference program.

Partnerships with HKSCC and Euromonitor

A partnership with the Hong Kong Society of Cosmetic Chemists (HKSCC) will see the HKSCC/IFSCC (International Federation of Societies of Cosmetic Chemists) Education Day take place alongside the exhibition, with seminars exploring current issues affecting the cosmetics industry.

Market research company Euromonitor will also be present to provide insights into current and upcoming trends in the personal care industry, as well as advice on how companies can capitalize on these industry movements.

"The partnerships with HKSCC and Euromonitor present exciting times for PCHi,” said Lynn Xu, project manager at RSE.“These sessions will allow delegates to tap on the knowledge of a leading cosmetic chemistry association, as well as a global research agency, in order to stay ahead of competition."

Regulatory update and new technology sessions

The conference program will also include the mainstay Rules and Regulation Forum, where representatives from the China State Food & Drug Administration (SFDA) will provide information on regulatory updates.

It will also feature the increasingly popular New Technology Sessions (NTS), where 17 international and domestic companies will discuss their latest personal care ingredients.

Meanwhile, the Innovation Forum will provide a platform for companies to unveil the science behind their latest innovations, and the Marketing Trends Forum will explore current and future industry trends.

"The PCHi 2013 Conference will feature a myriad of topics fronted by experts from associations, research firms and ingredients suppliers," said Xu. "With this strong line-up of speakers, we are confident of providing delegates with a quality knowledge platform, as we have been since the first PCHi."

The show will also feature the annual China Personal Care & Cosmetics Innovations Awards (CPCIA), which recognize ingredients released in China from 2011 to 2012. Winners of the 2012 edition of the awards included Mibelle, Clariant, Evonik and Rhodia.
